Crazy Car Related Videos of the Week and Final Post

Hey everybody since finals week is coming up I thought I would have another segment of Crazy Car Related Videos. The first video is from the Wilton House super car event. Where a bunch of european super car come together to meet and greet and see some truly fantastic cars. This a convoy of some of those cars on their way to the event.

Next we have an interesting take on a taxi service.

Apparently this is an advert for trident twist gum. If only the yellow cabs in new york where like this I would take them everywhere. Unfortunately this is probably going to be my last post for a while. So as always,

Until next time

The 2012 Audi A7

A new addition to Audi's 2012 lineup is the A7 sedan. It's interesting in that is a cross between a sedan and the hatchback. It boasts a full speaker system and google maps enabled GPS. It also has a seven speed automatic transmission and rear wheel drive.

Hands on impressions say that is one of the most luxoriuous Audis available. Its starts with an MSRP of $59,250. It will be available soon below a little hands on video located on Por Homme. Until next week.

More Crazy Car Videos

Well we're back this week (maybe a little late) with a few more car videos. So without any further interruptions here are the videos. Starting off we have the Mclaren F1 quite possibly my favorite sports car ever racing from a first person perspective. Watch this one with the sound all the way up to hear that legendary engine roar.

This next video is almost to depressing to post. Its footage of some insanely rich idiot driving his Ferrari FXX into the ocean. Such a sad way to see a beautiful car go. Maybe he should of spent a million dollars on driving lessons instead of that car.

Well thats it. Until next week

The New 2012 Audi TT RS

This is the time of year when all of the new 2012 models are announced and released to the public for the holiday season. This week were going to talk about the new Audi TT RS. This compact coupe is a smaller light weight to door that packs a lot of punch. A interesting quote from Jalopnik's hands on review tells us about the little car's massive acceleration.

"It's quite an apparatus. You floor the accelerator, there's a beat of lag as the various breathing and drivetrain elements gather up, and at a tick past 1,600 rpm the car launches like Hidalgo charging for the Najd horizon. " Unfortunately I can't give you my own hands on review with my impressions because it's not in our budget. But this little car definitely seems like a contender. Until next time.

Crazy Car Related Videos of the Week

Since this week was short and there hasn't been much in the way of new car news I'm going to star a segment called Crazy Car Related Videos of the Week (I'll work on that title). So without further delay

The title pretty much explains it all on this one. This crazy swedish guy leaped over a lambo heading towards him at around 55 mph. This one seems legit unlike those nike commercials. Next up is the trailer from Ken Blocks Gymkhana 2.1

While this isn't new it's definitely a favorite. Until next week.

The V16 Rolls Royce that never was

Another headline from the Frankfurt auto show is the customized Rolls Royce Phantom being used in the second Johnny English movie. It is a 9- Liter V16 Rolls Royce Phantom. Now the Phantoms that are sold today only have V12 engines but before you think that this is some type of crazy custom creation the V16 was supposed to be stock. As Rowen explains in his interview on the british motoring show Top Gear is when BMW originally purchased Rolls Royce they planned on making the massive 9 liter V16 stock. But at the last minute they changed their minds and opted for the smaller V12.

Unfortunately this Rolls Royce with it's moster engine won't be seen outside of theaters. The interview with Top Gear where Rowen (a huge car buff) talks about the custom Rolls is below. (He starts talking about the car around the 3:50 mark)

Until next week.

First Post and News from the Frankfurt Auto Show

Hello and welcome to Automotive Weekly,

This week is a big week in automotive news because it is the week of the Frankfurt Auto Show. This is the week when a lot of the major players in the European automotive industry show off their new models.

The first new model announcement comes from Ferrari who have unveiled the spider version of their popular 458 Italia.

The stats:

Top down 14 seconds
0-60 time around 3 seconds

Well hopefully Ferrari decides to fix the problems that caused the earlier coupe models to catch on fire or your beautiful Italia Spider might end up like this.

Until next week when we'll update you with more news from the auto show and the industry in general.
